Hanging On To Hope

When everything seems to start to go your way,
we feel God's presence in our lives.
Yet when some things go wrong,
we feel God has abandoned us.

This is a fact of life,
and many have felt this.
It is indeed very tempting to doubt,
when we feel God is not on our side.

Yet we should also ask,
would God really abandon us?
Or do we just think this to be so?

Perhaps we should take a moment to reflect,
and think of what God has done in our lives from years past -
Maybe then we'll start to think, that we can still have faith in our God,
and hanging on to hope may still be an option for us who may have nothing else to hold on to.
